We can also give virtual presentations to organizations and schools. Please indicate in the "additional info" below if you would like a virtual presentation.
The Urban Bee Lab receives dozens of requests for talks throughout the year. We are excited about the public’s growing interest in native bees, and try to accommodate as many of these talks as possible. If you are interested in a talk, please fill out the form at the bottom of this page.
Please note, as a small lab with limited funding, we must charge a small fee to cover our time, printed materials and travel expenses. Presentations scheduled outside of normal work hours (M-F, 9am-5pm) are conducted on personal time by lab employees. Our presentation fees are as follows:
Most of our research is conducted in spring and summer when the flowers are in bloom and the bees are out, and we have limited availability for talks during this time. The best time of year to request a talk is the fall and winter.

- $200 for presentations occurring in the San Francisco Bay Area. This includes everywhere within a 50 mile radius of the UC Berkeley Campus.
- Price negotiable based on distance from the Bay Area.
