Fall/Winter 2019

Sunday, Oct. 13, 2019:

        The Urban Bee Lab will be at the Bay Area Bee Fair at Ashby BART (at Martin Luther King and Adeline St.) from 10am-3pm.

Thursday, December 12, 2019:

         The Urban Bee Lab will be presenting on our ongoing native bee research at Mount Diablo at the 6th annual Mary
         Bowerman Science and Research Colloquium, held at the David Brower Center in Berkeley from 9am-12pm, and hosted by
         Save Mount Diablo.

Previous Events in 2019

Saturday, June 29, 2019:

        The Urban Bee Lab partnered with the Sonoma Ecology Center and Chittaslow Sonoma for our 9th annual Sonoma Bee
        Count, from 8:30am-5pm.

Friday, May 31- Sunday, June 2, 2019:

         The Urban Bee Lab held a Jepson Herbarium Workshop on California's Native Bees: Biology, Ecology and Identification
         at Hastings Natural History Reservation in the Carmel Valley.

Saturday, May 25:

          Dr. Gordon Frankie gave a talk at the Lindsay Wildlife Experience in Walnut Creek as one of the featured scientists in their   
          popular Conservation Icons Speaker Series.

          Jaime Pawelek gave a talk on how to design or modify your garden to be bee and pollinator-friendly at Annie's Annuals in               Richmond.
